Each person in the UK is responsible for an average of 14 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions every year.

The Guardian's 10:10 campaign encourages individuals and organisations to commit to reducing their emissions by 10% in 2010. They argue that this significant step towards a low carbon Britain is actually a relatively modest challenge which most of us could achieve with some fairly small sacrifices.
